BISHOP KEVIN'S LETTER TO DIOCESE
Today, Bishop Kevin issues a letter to the people of the dioceses of Achonry and Elphin, outlining the journey to date in the proposed merging of our two dioceses. The letter is followed by an summary of feedback recevied durign six meetings held in recent weeks in both Achonry and Elphin.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is just over six months now since the ApostolicNuncio, Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor,made known to us the decision of Pope Francisto initiate a process of closer cooperation andconsultation, which is intended to leadeventually to the merging of our twoneighbouring dioceses of Achonry and Elphin.A similar process was proposed at the same timefor the dioceses of Tuam and Killala.
