The Story of a Chalice

Reflection on call to priesthood

My own story

Called to serve

The following videos, though set in the United States and in Australia, speak to something of the lived experience that is priesthood.  You might like to spend a bit of time with them and get a sense of what vocation means.  One of the videos features a number of priests from an American Diocese (Rockville Centre) who were ordained in recent years.  Though life in a rural diocese like Achonry, is vastly different to many of the settings presented in these videos, the day to day life of a priest is relatively universal.  If we have other video clips that are helpful to this page, we will upload them in due course.

Thanks for visiting this page.  The reality is you are here for a reason – something in you is “wondering” about vocation and priesthood.  For that alone, we thank God.

If you feel you might have a calling to serve God in the Diocese of Achonry as one of its priests, we would love to hear from you.  If you’ve ever thought about it – talk about it!
